In recent days, many people have signed up for this Jocial program knowingly and unknowingly. People are sharing affiliate Jocial product links all across Facebook walls. Although many people have joined Jocial, many of them simply do not know well about this program.
Well, you are here to know about the Jocial, and whether it is legal in Nepal or not. I am going to uncover some of the most asked questions regarding Jocial.
What is Jocial?
Jocial is an influencer marketing company that claims to implements fully managed data-driven insights and creative strategies to produce meaningful relationships between brands and creators. Users have to sign up for this program and pay a fee ($40 or $60 as per the subscription plan). Users need referral links to join the program. If there is no referral link then they have to pay the fee to join. The amount of fee differ as per the different packages. Once the user joins the program he/she is advised to share the product at least twice a week and refer to more people.
How does Jocial work?
Jocial works on the basis of Pyramid Marketing (MLM – Multilevel Marketing) style. Here users can register by paying certain fees (subscription model) and promote products. In return they get an affiliate commission as per the sale they make through various channels. The money then can be either withdrawn through Payeer or Perfect Money or through bitcoin.
Is Jocial legal in Nepal?
No! Jocial is not legally accepted by the government of Nepal. The central bank of Nepal (Nepal Ratra Bank) has published the notice regarding not to involved in any type of virtual and network marketing-related programs. However, many Nepalese are involved in the networking channel. Not only Jocial but any type of pyramid marketing schemes are not allowed to operate in Nepal.
Who is the owner of Jocial?
According to the official website of Jocial, Jamie March is the founder of Jocial. He is a British entrepreneur who started his career in the field of digital media marketing at a very early age. However, there is not enough evidence that he has a strong business profile. He even does not exist with his real photographs on the website or any online resources.
Is Jocial a registered company?
According to the company information service (a government website), Jocial is registered as JOCIAL ADVERTISE LTD with the company number 12489990. According to the available information, the registered office address is 63-66 Hatton Garden, London, England, EC1N 8LE.
NOTE: According to the information provided on the website, the founder was born in July 1992, and the domain is registered in 2008, how can a 16 years person register a company? There is no evidence that Jocial headquarters exists in the given location.
Is Jocial is real or fake?
Jocial is not a fake. It is real business but since it is based on multilevel marketing or a Pyramid scheme, the majority of people lose money rather than earn money. Another important thing to see is, the money withdrawal options are
- Bitcoin
- Perfect Money
- Payeer
Bitcoin is illegal in Nepal and Perfect Money and Payeer are not available in Nepal. So, even if you make money somehow, you can not withdraw money directly into your bank.
My opinion
As a legit marketer, I would never suggest joining any type of network marketing program. In MLM otherwise known as pyramid marketing, very few people make money or get a return on investment. 90% of people lose money in MLM program.
Once you signup you will be given various products to share all across your social media channels. If sales are made through your link then you will be paid a small commission. Well, it seems like affiliate marketing to some extent, but if you see the products, they are not even available in Nepal. If the product is not available in Nepal, or not shipped to Nepal then what is the meaning of promoting it?
So, my final word is never ever to join such a program.
