Krishna Bahadur Karki is New CEO of NEPSE

Krishna Bahadur Karki has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE).  A cabinet meeting held on January 29 appointed Karki to the post.

A selection committee had shortlisted three names Ramesh Bhandari, Dr. Keshab Shrestha, and Krishna Bahadur Karki, and sent them to the Council of Ministers. After the resignation from Chandra Singh Saud on 24 August, there was a vacant post in NEPSE. Former CEO Chandra Singh Saud was caught in a scandal regarding the purchase of shares of Sarbottam Cement.

Who is Krishna Bahadur Karki, the New CEO of NEPSE?

Krishna Bahadur Karki is a permanent resident of Ribdikot Rural Municipality – 7, Palpa. He was working as chief of Budhigandaki Hydropower Project’s Environment, Compensation, Resettlement, and Rehabilitation Unit. After the appointment in NEPSE, he would resign from the project to take on the new responsibility.
