Janakpur Curfew Halts Jaynagar–Janakpur–Bhangaha Railway Service

The Jaynagar–Janakpur–Bhangaha railway service has been suspended until further notice after the local administration imposed a curfew in Janakpurdham amid heightened security concerns. Nepal Railway Company announced that train operations have been temporarily halted to ensure passenger safety during the curfew period. In a public notice, Ajay Kumar Singh, Acting Administrative Chief of Nepal Railway Company, said the railway service connecting Jaynagar in India with Janakpurdham in Dhanusha and Bhangaha in Mahottari will remain fully suspended until the curfew is lifted. The abrupt suspension has left many regular commuters and travelers stranded, while local authorities said the curfew was imposed in several parts of Janakpurdham to maintain law and order.
