    SEBON Cancels Fixed Deposit Investment Process

    The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has cancelled its previously announced process to invest endowment funds and other investable resources in fixed deposit accounts, citing special circumstances.

    The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has cancelled the process to invest funds from its endowment fund and other investable resources in fixed deposit accounts. In a public notice, the regulator said the investment process announced on Ashadh 22, 2083 BS, has been withdrawn due to special circumstances. SEBON has requested all interested parties to contact its Accounts and Finance Division for further information regarding the cancellation. However, the Board has not disclosed the specific reasons behind its decision to call off the fixed deposit investment process.
