How opening price range is determined?

Nepal stock exchange (NEPSE) determines the opening price range of new company based on the book value (net worth per share) of company. The minimum price should be same as book value and maximum price will be book value x 3.

Rapti Hydro & General Construction Ltd (RHGCL), is a public company incorporated on Kartik 5, 2065 (October 21, 2008) as per Companies Acts 2063. The company was established with the objective of developing and investing in hydropower projects. Company is currently developing 5 MW Rukum Gad Hydropower Project in Rukum East District and owns its Electricity generation license. The Project is located at Sisne and Bhume Gaunpalika of Rukum East District. Its registered office is located at Kathmandu-11, Bluestar Complex, Tripureshor.

 

About IPO issuance

Rapti Hydro and General Construction Limited (RHGCL) had issued 23,66,240 units IPO (worth Rs. 23.66 crores) to the general public from Ashad 29 till 1st Shrawan, 2079.

Out of the total 23,66,240 units; 3% (i.e. 70,988 units ) of the total offered shares have been set aside for the employees and 5%  (i.e. 1,18,312 units) of the total offered shares have been set aside for the mutual funds. The remaining 21,76,940 units were for the general public. As per CDSC, 15,38,688 applicants have applied for a total of 1,72,65,150 units till last day. Thus, the IPO was oversubscribed by more than 7.93 times.
