Nepal Telecom has introduced a new affordable internet package offering 30 Mbps speed for Rs 4,999 annually. The new FTTH plans also include Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, free daily mobile data, telephone services and a waiver of the Rs 500 connection fee.
Nepal Telecom, the state-owned telecommunications service provider, has launched a new range of annual internet packages, including a 30 Mbps plan priced at just Rs 4,999. The new offers come into effect today and aim to provide customers with affordable and reliable internet services amid changes in the pricing of internet packages offered by private service providers. Under its Fiber to the Home (FTTH) service, Nepal Telecom is introducing the packages for NT Fiber customers, with Wi-Fi 6 connectivity included in the offer. The company expects the new plans to provide customers with better value through a combination of internet, telephone and additional mobile data services. According to Nepal Telecom spokesperson Dr. Kamal Lamichhane, customers can choose from several annual subscription options based on their internet requirements. The 30 Mbps package costs Rs 4,999 per year, while the 100 Mbps package is available for Rs 11,499 annually. Customers seeking higher speeds can subscribe to the 150 Mbps package for Rs 12,999 per year or opt for the 200 Mbps plan at Rs 16,499 annually. In addition to high-speed internet and telephone services, customers subscribing to the annual packages will receive free mobile data ranging from 800 MB to 1 GB per day. Nepal Telecom has also announced that it will waive the standard Rs 500 connection fee for customers who subscribe to the new plans, reducing the initial cost of getting connected. The launch comes at a time when some private internet service providers have announced the discontinuation of certain low-cost internet packages. Nepal Telecom's latest offer could provide an alternative for households and individuals seeking budget-friendly internet access without compromising on speed and connectivity. With multiple speed options, additional mobile data benefits and no connection fee, the new packages are designed to appeal to a wide range of users, including families, students and home-based professionals. Customers can select a plan according to their internet usage and budget. The new packages are available from today through Nepal Telecom's NT Fiber service, offering customers a range of annual subscription options with bundled internet, telephone and mobile data benefits.
