    NEPSE Extends Losing Streak, Drops 9.02 Points to Close at 2,641

    The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) declined by 9.02 points, or 0.34%, on Monday, extending its losing streak for a second consecutive session. Turnover stood at Rs. 3.67 billion, with over 10.96 million shares traded.

    NEPSE Extends Losing Streak, Drops 9.02 Points to Close at 2,641

    The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed another weak trading session on Monday, falling 9.02 points (0.34%) to close at 2,641.06. The benchmark index had declined by 4.05 points in the previous session, extending the market’s downward momentum. NEPSE opened at 2,651.46 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,653.95 and a low of 2,636.28 before settling at 2,641.06. Total turnover stood at Rs. 3.67 billion, with 10,966,745 shares changing hands through 53,524 transactions across 352 listed companies. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 45.38 trillion, while float market capitalization amounted to Rs. 15.30 trillion. Top Turnover Solu Hydropower Limited (SOHL) topped the turnover chart with shares worth Rs. 46.37 crore traded during the session. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 711.00. Top Gainer Corporate Development Bank Limited (CORBL) recorded the highest gain among the traded stocks, rising 8.47% to hit the upper circuit. Its share price closed at Rs. 1,155.20. Top Loser Meanwhile, Reliable Samriddhi Yojana-2 (RSY2) recorded the highest decline of the session, falling 9.70%. Its last traded price stood at Rs. 9.03. Sectoral Performance Sector-wise, the Microfinance Index recorded the highest gain, advancing 0.19%. On the other hand, the Trading Index posted the steepest decline, falling 0.86%. Overall, the market remained under pressure as the benchmark index continued its decline, while trading activity remained relatively strong with turnover above Rs. 3.6 billion.
