    NEPSE Ends Fiscal Year on Positive Note, Gains 7.50 Points

    The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) closed the final trading session of fiscal year 2082/83 in positive territory, with the benchmark index rising 7.50 points as investors traded shares worth Rs 4.56 billion.

    NEPSE Ends Fiscal Year on Positive Note, Gains 7.50 Points

    The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) ended the last trading day of fiscal year 2082/83 with modest gains, as the benchmark index climbed 7.50 points (0.28%) to close at 2,597.80, extending the previous session's 14-point rise. The index opened at 2,605.26, touched an intraday high of 2,606.89, and fell to a low of 2,581.09 before recovering at the close. Market turnover stood at Rs 4.56 billion, with 9.47 million shares of 371 listed companies traded through 39,595 transactions. Total market capitalization reached Rs 44.63 trillion, while float market capitalization stood at Rs 15.08 trillion. Singati Hydro Energy Limited (SHEL) emerged as the day's most actively traded stock with a turnover of Rs 247.4 million, closing at Rs 302.90. Among the top performers, NIBL Growth Fund (NIBLGF) led the gainers with a 14.96 percent rise to Rs 10.91, while Corporate Development Bank Limited (CORBL) was the biggest loser, declining 8.77 percent to Rs 1,596.50. Sector-wise, the Mutual Fund Index posted the highest gain of 1.37 percent, whereas the Finance Index recorded the steepest decline, falling 0.66 percent.
