NEPSE Falls 21.15 Points as Market Extends Losing Streak
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) declined by 21.15 points on Tuesday, with the benchmark index closing at 2,663.18 amid a turnover of Rs. 4.07 billion.
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) extended its losses on Tuesday, dropping 21.15 points (0.78%) to close at 2,663.18, following a marginal decline in the previous session. The benchmark index traded between an intraday high of 2,687.17 and a low of 2,659.80, while daily turnover reached Rs. 4.07 billion from over 10.76 million shares traded across 343 listed companies through 52,272 transactions. Khanikhola Hydropower Co. Ltd. (KKHC) recorded the highest turnover at Rs. 406.6 million, while Everest Colour Limited (ECL) emerged as the top gainer with a 14.99% rise. On the losing side, Saptakoshi Development Bank Ltd. (SAPDBL) posted the steepest decline, falling 13.43%. Among sectoral indices, Manufacturing and Processing recorded the biggest loss of 1.31%, whereas the Finance Index posted the smallest decline of 0.14%.
