    NEPSE Rebounds with 24-Point Gain as Turnover Crosses Rs 4.4 Billion

    The Nepal Stock Exchange bounced back on Tuesday, climbing nearly 1% after the previous session’s decline, with trading turnover exceeding Rs 4.40 billion.

    The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) rebounded strongly on Tuesday, gaining 24.57 points (0.93%) to close at 2,651.68, recovering from a 26.29-point loss recorded in the previous trading session. The benchmark index opened at 2,620.54, touched an intraday high of 2,651.86, and slipped to a low of 2,619.68 before ending the day in positive territory. Market activity remained robust, with a total turnover of Rs 4.40 billion generated through the trading of 9.52 million shares of 352 listed companies across 72,022 transactions. In terms of turnover, 8.5% Nepal Investment Bank Debenture 2084 (NIBD84) emerged as the most actively traded security, recording transactions worth Rs 539.4 million, with its last traded price at Rs 1,109.90. Kalanga Hydro Limited (KAHL) topped the gainers' list after hitting a 15% positive circuit, closing at Rs 516.40, while Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ANLB) posted the steepest decline, falling 13.78% to Rs 5,860. Among sectoral indices, the Trading Index recorded the largest drop of 3.15%, whereas the Development Bank Index registered the smallest decline, edging down 0.30%.
