The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) declined by 13.82 points (0.51%) on Thursday to close at 2,654.15, erasing the previous session's gains, while only the Trading sector ended higher.

NEPSE Falls 13.82 Points; Only Trading Sector Ends in the Green

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) closed lower on Thursday, shedding 13.82 points (0.51%) to settle at 2,654.15, after gaining 4.79 points in the previous trading session. The benchmark index opened at 2,666.13, touched an intraday high of 2,678.22, and fell to a low of 2,647.72 before closing. The day's total turnover stood at Rs. 4.62 billion, with 10.80 million shares of 347 listed companies traded through 60,381 transactions. The market capitalization declined to Rs. 45.61 trillion, while the float market capitalization stood at Rs. 15.40 trillion. Ridi Power Company Limited (RIDI) emerged as the top turnover company, recording transactions worth Rs. 472.4 million, with its share price closing at Rs. 384.90. Upper Lohore Khola Hydropower Company Limited (ULHC) was the day's top gainer, hitting the 15% upper circuit to close at Rs. 407.20. On the losing side, LS Horizon 12 (LSH12) posted the steepest decline, dropping 6.50% to Rs. 9.35. Among the sectoral indices, Trading was the only sector to close in positive territory, gaining 0.59%, while the Manufacturing and Processing sector recorded the biggest loss, declining 0.88%.
