Nepal Oil Corporation Says LPG Supply Normal, Urges Consumers Against Hoarding

Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has clarified that the supply of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in the market remains normal and has urged consumers not to purchase and unnecessarily stockpile more gas than required. According to the corporation, LPG sales increased significantly in Shrawan, with around 4.04 million cylinders sold compared to 3.14 million cylinders in Ashadh, marking an increase of nearly 900,000 cylinders. NOC data show that 2.73 million cylinders, equivalent to 38,799.45 metric tons, were imported and sold in Chaitra 2082. The volume declined to 2.26 million cylinders in Baisakh and 2.31 million in Jestha before rising to 3.14 million cylinders in Ashadh. In Shrawan, however, sales jumped to 4.04 million cylinders, equivalent to 57,316.38 metric tons. NOC said LPG imports and distribution have remained fully regular in the current month of Bhadra and are expected to continue smoothly in the coming days. The corporation has therefore urged consumers to buy LPG only according to their actual requirements, emphasizing that there is currently no shortage in the market.
