NEPSE Extends Rally, Gains 14 Points
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) extended its gains on Wednesday, rising 14 points to close at 2,590.29, with daily turnover exceeding Rs. 4.17 billion.
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) continued its upward momentum on Wednesday, gaining 14.00 points (0.54%) to close at 2,590.29, following a 6.11-point increase in the previous session. The benchmark index fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,601.99 and a low of 2,576.61, while total daily turnover reached Rs. 4.17 billion. A total of 8.47 million shares of 362 listed companies were traded through 38,836 transactions, taking the market capitalization to Rs. 44.50 trillion. 10% Himalayan Bank Debenture 2083 (HBLD83) emerged as the most traded security with a turnover of Rs. 44.10 crore, while Corporate Development Bank Limited (CORBL) topped the gainers' list with a 12.90% rise. On the losing side, Upakar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ULBSL) declined the most, falling 7.32%. Among sectoral indices, the Development Bank Index posted the highest gain of 1.37%, whereas the Investment Index was the biggest loser, slipping 0.46%.
