Revolutionary Royal Enfield Classic 350 Flex-Fuel Spotted: India’s Iconic Bike Set to Run on Green Ethanol!

India has already met its target of 20 percent ethanol blending in petrol by 2025 and is now moving toward even higher integration levels. This shift necessitates the development of 'flex-fuel' vehicles capable of running on varied fuel blends. Consequently, Royal Enfield has begun testing a flex-fuel version of its iconic Classic 350. A test mule was recently spotted on the streets of Chennai sporting an 'E85 Fuel' sticker on its tank. Built on the company's 'J-platform,' the bike retains the traditional design of the current Classic 350, with visible updates limited to the E85 branding, new color schemes, and alloy wheels. The motorcycle will be powered by a 349cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 20 bhp of power and 27 Nm of torque. Standard features are expected to include LED headlights and indicators, a Tripper navigation pod, and adjustable levers. In the Indian market, the Classic 350 is currently priced between INR 2.22 lakh and 2.34 lakh (ex-showroom). The introduction of this flex-fuel variant is expected to significantly contribute to environmental conservation and help reduce the national fuel import bill.
