SEBON Approves IPO Issuance for Pure Energy Limited

The Nepal Securities Board has granted permission to Pure Energy Limited for the issuance of an Initial Public Offering (IPO). The board approved the IPO issuance on Friday, 2nd Falgun 2081. Following the approval, the company is set to issue 1.6 million shares worth NPR 16 crore.

Pure Energy has an authorized capital of NPR 80 crore, with 80% ownership held by the founders and the remaining 20% to be issued to the general public. Nabil Investment has been appointed as the sales manager for the IPO issuance.

Pure Energy is a solar energy company under the Golyan Group. The company is currently operating two solar projects in Banke, each with a capacity of 10 megawatts. Both projects have been commercially operational since 2080 BS (2023/24 AD). With a total capacity of 20 megawatts, Pure Energy is the largest solar energy producer in Nepal to date. The projects are spread over an area of 43 bighas. Unlike hydropower projects, solar projects do not require transfer to the government after a certain period. The land ownership remains with the investor even after the solar project’s lifespan ends. Additionally, the company has stated that solar energy is not affected by reduced water flow or natural disasters, unlike hydropower.
