The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a moderate decline of 20.48 points (0.79%), closing at 2,566.76 on Sunday. The benchmark index opened at 2,586.24, reached an intraday high of 2,586.23, and fell to a low of 2,558.35 before settling at the closing level. Total turnover stood at Rs. 3.27 Arba, with 9,003,388 shares traded across 359 companies through 44,777 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 44.15 Kharba, while the float market capitalization stood at Rs. 14.96 Kharba. Ghalemdi Hydro Limited (GHL) topped the turnover chart with transactions worth Rs. 22.86 crores, closing at Rs. 275.00. Meanwhile, 10.30% Standard Chartered Bank Limited Debenture (SCBD) emerged as the top gainer, rising 5.75% to Rs. 1,136.90, while Trishuli Jal Vidhyut Company Limited (TVCL) recorded the highest decline of 5.84%, closing at Rs. 274.00. Among sectoral indices, the Trading Index posted the highest gain of 0.33%, while the Investment Index recorded the highest loss, declining 1.07%.
