High-Stakes Diplomacy: Pakistani PM Sharif and Army Chief Depart for US-Iran Follow-Up Talks in Switzerland

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif departed for Switzerland on Sunday morning to participate in high-level, technical-level follow-up talks concerning the recently concluded Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the United States and Iran. According to an official statement released by the Prime Minister's Office, PM Sharif is accompanied by Pakistani Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. The high-stakes talks, scheduled to take place on June 21 in Bürgenstock, Switzerland, aim to address follow-up technical details of the diplomatic agreement. A high-level delegation of Pakistani officials has also accompanied the leadership to assist in the diplomatic proceedings.
