Philippines Ferry Fire Death Toll Rises to 76, 13 Still Missing

The death toll from a vessel fire in Palawan province, Philippines, has risen to 76, according to the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG). The fire broke out on a passenger vessel in the popular tourist destination on Wednesday. The PCG reported that 41 additional bodies were recovered on Saturday, bringing the confirmed death toll to 76. Meanwhile, 13 people remain missing following the incident. A total of 43 people were rescued safely from the vessel, according to the authorities. Search, rescue and investigation efforts are still underway as authorities work to recover the missing passengers and determine the cause of the deadly fire.
