Nepal Railway suspends cross-border train operations until further notice following a curfew imposed in Janakpur over security concerns.
The Jaynagar–Janakpur–Bhangaha railway service has been suspended until further notice after the local administration imposed a curfew in Janakpurdham amid heightened security concerns. Nepal Railway Company announced that train operations have been temporarily halted to ensure passenger safety during the curfew period. In a public notice, Ajay Kumar Singh, Acting Administrative Chief of Nepal Railway Company, said the railway service connecting Jaynagar in India with Janakpurdham in Dhanusha and Bhangaha in Mahottari will remain fully suspended until the curfew is lifted.
