Krishna Bhir Road to Reopen Within Bhadra

Prime Minister Balendra Shah has announced that the landslide-damaged Krishna Bhir section of the Prithvi Highway will be reconstructed and brought back into operation within the month of Bhadra. Speaking at the House of Representatives on Wednesday, the Prime Minister said efforts would be made to restore the important highway route as soon as possible. Landslides and road subsidence caused by flooding have disrupted transportation along the Krishna Bhir and Parewa Bhir sections, affecting the movement of vehicles along the major highway connecting Kathmandu with various parts of the country.
