Shivam Cement Announces Major Support for Flood-Affected Families
Shivam Cement has announced 11,000 bags of free OPC cement for 110 affected households, while its subsidiary Shivam Holdings has contributed Rs. 1.1 million to the disaster relief fund.
Shivam Cement Limited has announced support for relief, rescue and reconstruction efforts in Rasuwa and other areas affected by the devastating flood and landslides that occurred on Bhadra 10. In coordination with the Government of Nepal, the company will provide 100 bags of Shivam OPC cement free of cost to each of 110 flood-affected households for the reconstruction of their homes. This amounts to a total contribution of 11,000 bags of cement to support housing reconstruction for affected families. In addition, Shivam Holdings Limited, a subsidiary of Shivam Cement, has provided Rs. 1.1 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support relief, rescue and rehabilitation efforts. The company said the assistance is intended to contribute to the relief and reconstruction campaign and help affected citizens rebuild their lives following the disaster. Shivam Cement has also expressed its commitment to continuing cooperation with the government, local authorities and other relevant agencies to support the recovery and reconstruction of affected communities.
