PM Balen Shah Heads to Nuwakot for On-Site Flood Damage Inspection
Prime Minister Balendra Shah has departed for Bidur, Nuwakot, to inspect areas affected by the devastating floods in the Rasuwa–Bhote Koshi region and assess ongoing rescue and relief efforts.
Following the devastating floods in the Rasuwa–Bhote Koshi region, the government has intensified rescue, relief, and rehabilitation efforts. Prime Minister Balendra Shah departed for Bidur, Nuwakot, on Thursday morning to conduct an on-site inspection of flood-affected settlements and infrastructure. Infrastructure Development Minister Sunil Lamsal is accompanying the Prime Minister on the inspection team. During the visit, Shah is expected to assess the extent of physical damage and hold discussions with local authorities, security agencies, and elected representatives on immediate relief distribution, rehabilitation of affected communities, and restoration of disrupted infrastructure. The government has also stepped up search and rescue operations, relief distribution, and damage assessment, with the safe evacuation and rehabilitation of affected citizens remaining a top priority.
