    NEPSE Falls 13.85 Points to Close at 2,531.55

    Nepal’s stock market extended its decline for a second consecutive session, with the NEPSE index falling 13.85 points (0.54%) to close at 2,531.55. Turnover stood at around NRS 4 billion.

    The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) continued its downward trend, recording a double-digit decline of 13.85 points (0.54%) to close at 2,531.55. The benchmark index had also declined by 15.43 points in the previous trading session. The index opened at 2,544.46 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,546.10 and a low of 2,525.69 before settling at 2,531.55. Market turnover stood at approximately NRS 4 billion, with 10,588,653 shares traded across 341 companies through 44,198 transactions. Total market capitalization stood at NRS 43.54 trillion, while float market capitalization reached NRS 14.69 trillion. Liberty Energy Company Limited (LEC) topped the turnover chart with transactions worth NRS 45.48 crore. The stock also emerged as the day’s top gainer, hitting the 15% upper circuit to close at NRS 246.10. On the losing side, Sindhu Bikash Bank Limited (SINDU) recorded the biggest decline, falling 14.98% to a last traded price of NRS 359.70. Sector-wise, Manufacturing and Processing recorded the highest decline, falling 1.14%, while Life Insurance posted the smallest loss at 0.17%.
