Fonepay Payment Service Limited has officially reappointed Diwas Kumar as Chief Executive Officer for a second four-year term. Since his initial appointment in 2021, Kumar has been instrumental in scaling Fonepay into Nepal’s premier digital payment network, boasting over 2 million merchants and daily transactions exceeding NPR 15 billion.

Under his continued leadership, the company aims to strengthen its cross-border interoperability and launch new financial products like virtual credit cards. Most notably, Kumar will oversee Fonepay’s transition toward its highly anticipated Initial Public Offering (IPO) scheduled for 2026, focusing on financial inclusion and regional expansion to solidify its market dominance.
