Rhino Cruise Stranded by Narayani Flood, Rescue Operation Underway

70-ton Rhino Cruise, swept away by the swollen Narayani River and stranded near a bridge, is being removed with the help of three cranes. The Department of Roads is coordinating the operation with the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police. A track has already been opened to reach the cruise, and the department expects to remove it soon. Meanwhile, the Department of Roads is working to reopen the Prithvi Highway by Monday evening. Landslides have been cleared at several locations, while work continues to remove the boulder at Krishnabhir. Repair work is also underway on the Maldhunga Bridge connecting Baglung and Parbat, with machinery already deployed at the site.
