NEPSE Slips 11.90 Points to Close at 2,587.25
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) declined 11.90 points (0.45%) on Thursday to close at 2,587.25, with turnover reaching Rs. 4.29 billion.
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed a marginal decline, dropping 11.90 points (0.45%) to settle at 2,587.25. The benchmark index opened at 2,592.26 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,600.47 and a low of 2,582.36 before closing lower. The decline came after a 0.26-point gain in the previous trading session. Total turnover stood at Rs. 4.29 billion, with 11,912,550 shares traded across 356 companies through 43,685 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 44.50 trillion, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 15.08 trillion. The 10.75% SBL Debenture 2089 (SBLD89) topped the turnover chart with transactions worth Rs. 26.53 crore, closing at Rs. 1,360. Meanwhile, NMB Debenture 10.75%-2089/90 (NMBD89/90) posted the highest gain of 14.29% to close at Rs. 1,400. Sindhu Bikash Bank Limited (SINDU) recorded the steepest decline, falling 8.55% to Rs. 448. Among the sectoral indices, the Mutual Fund Index recorded the highest gain, rising 0.20%, while the Trading Index posted the highest decline, falling 0.96%.
