Heavy Rain Alert: Prithvi Highway to Remain Closed at Night

The Prithvi Highway will remain completely closed to vehicular movement during nighttime due to the risk posed by continuous heavy rainfall. The District Administration Office, Dhading has imposed the restriction in response to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall. The measure has been introduced as a precautionary step to protect passengers and vehicles from potential disasters, including floods, landslides and inundation. According to the administration, the movement of all vehicles along the highway will be completely restricted from 8 PM on Ashoj 8 (Thursday) until 5 AM on Ashoj 9 (Friday). Passengers and drivers have been advised to assess the prevailing weather and road conditions before travelling, avoid potentially hazardous areas and strictly follow safety instructions issued by the concerned authorities.
