Government Eases LPG Shortage in Kathmandu Valley After Floods
The government has introduced an emergency LPG exchange system in Kathmandu Valley, allowing consumers to exchange empty cylinders of any brand for available filled cylinders at the designated price.
Following flood-related disruptions to LPG transportation and supply, the government has introduced a temporary measure to ease shortages in Kathmandu Valley. Consumers can now provide an empty cylinder from any brand and purchase a filled cylinder from another available brand at the prescribed price. The government has directed Nepal Oil Corporation and LPG industries to implement the arrangement immediately and warned of strict legal action against businesses creating artificial shortages, refusing cylinder exchanges or violating the rules.
