NEPSE recovered 11.77 points to close at 2,629.81, while daily turnover stood at Rs. 5.44 arba as the market bounced back from the previous session’s 36.25-point decline.

NEPSE Rebounds 11.77 Points After Sharp Previous-Session Drop

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) staged a modest recovery on Thursday, gaining 11.77 points (0.44%) to close at 2,629.81. The benchmark index had dropped 36.25 points in the previous trading session. The index opened at 2,611.03 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,629.94 and a low of 2,605.32 before settling at the day’s closing level. Market activity remained moderate, with total turnover reaching Rs. 5.44 arba. A total of 17,270,449 shares of 356 listed companies changed hands through 51,716 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 45.23 kharba, while the float market capitalization stood at Rs. 15.25 kharba. Shivam Cements Limited (SHIVM) topped the turnover chart with shares worth Rs. 35.81 crore traded during the session. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 702 per share. On the gainers’ side, Nepal Lube Oil Limited (NLO) posted the highest increase, rising 12.47% to close at Rs. 271.30 per share. Meanwhile, Mid Solu Hydropower Limited (MSHL) recorded the steepest decline, falling 11.58% to close at Rs. 550 per share. Among the sectoral indices, the Manufacturing and Processing sector recorded the highest decline of 1.83%, while the Non-Life Insurance sector posted the smallest decline, falling 0.33%.
